INTRODUCTION

The aim of the study is to examine the importance of education in the modern Church. The specific objectives of the study are:

  1. To examine the state of education within the modern Church in Nigeria and its impact on the congregation.
  2. To identify the challenges faced by the Church in Nigeria in implementing educational programs.
  3. To explore the potential benefits of enhancing education within the Church context, focusing on spiritual growth.
  4. To assess the role of the Church in promoting education among its members and the wider community.

  • Research Questions

The research questions are buttressed below:

  1. What is the state of education within the modern Church in Nigeria and how does it impact the congregation?

It is through education that the Church can effectively communicate its doctrines, principles, and values to its members. This is particularly important in the modern world where there is a plethora of information and ideas that can easily confuse or mislead people. By providing a solid educational foundation, the Church can help its members make informed decisions based on its teachings.
